Lock 81 Brewyer is a microbrewery located in Rickmansworth next to the canal. They focus on creating unique beers that have a connection to their hometown.

They approached me while struggling to get sales in restaurants and taphouses, due to a lack of brand recognition and a less established feel compared to its competition.

The new brand is simple, but strong, while maintaining a hint of its roots in the canals in Hertfordshire. Shown through how the L subtly becomes a windlass in the logo, and the use of landscape is chosen with careful consideration of the surrounding hills, aquadromes and environments.

This successful rebrand of Lock 81 serves as a testament to the power of a strong and consistent brand image. By working on its brand, Lock 81 was able to differentiate itself from their competition, increase recognition, and ultimately drive sales and growth. They now sell internationally.
